About the Role:

As a Showroom Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our showroom and warehouse. This is a casual role, 3 days a week 10am- 4pm. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive and adaptable individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse & Logistics:
    • Receive rug deliveries, including forklift operation
    • Prepare sold rugs for delivery (wrapping, labelling, and storage).
    • Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including showing rugs to clients.
    • Liaise with admin and logistics teams for seamless stock movement.
  • Showroom Operations:
    • Maintain showroom cleanliness and organisation (vacuuming, pile management, hanging rug rotation).
    • Assist with client meetings (pulling, flipping, rolling, and removing rugs).
    • Prepare rugs for approvals and assist with on-site approvals.
    • Assist clients with loading/unloading rugs from vehicles.
    • Create and maintain engaging showroom and windows displays.
    • Assist the Showroom Manager with pricing, design briefs, and data entry (MYOB).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • This role requires physical strength and the ability to lift heavy loads. Candidates must be physically fit.
  • Experience in a retail or warehouse environment is a plus.
  • Has a valid driver's license.
