Designer Rugs

About the Role:
As a Showroom Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our showroom and warehouse. This is a casual role, 3 days a week (M-W-F) 10am- 4pm. This is a hands-on position that requires a proactive and adaptable individual with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warehouse & Logistics:
- Receive rug deliveries, including forklift operation
- Prepare sold rugs for delivery (wrapping, labelling, and storage).
- Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including showing rugs to clients.
- Liaise with admin and logistics teams for seamless stock movement.
- Showroom Operations:
- Maintain showroom cleanliness and organisation (vacuuming, pile management, hanging rug rotation).
- Assist with client meetings (pulling, flipping, rolling, and removing rugs).
- Prepare rugs for approvals and assist with on-site approvals.
- Assist clients with loading/unloading rugs from vehicles.
- Create and maintain engaging showroom and windows displays.
- Assist the Showroom Manager with pricing, design briefs, and data entry (MYOB).
Key Requirements

- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- This role requires physical strength and the ability to lift heavy loads. Candidates must be physically fit.
- Experience in a retail or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Has a valid driver's license.
