Our client is a respected national builder known for delivering high-quality, design-led fit-outs across commercial, medical, hospitality, retail, and specialist-use spaces. With projects ranging from $1M to $3M, they are a trusted partner for some of Australia’s most recognisable brands and institutions.
Their growing pipeline, particularly in the medical and workplace fit-out space, has created the need for a skilled and flexible design professional to join the team. You’ll be working in a dynamic, collaborative office environment in a full-time capacity.
This role is ideal for someone who is efficient, creative, and highly capable in drafting/designing functional, compliant, and beautiful spaces. All applicants must provide examples of prior documentation work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently produce concept plans and detailed fit-out documentation for medical projects
- Develop creative layouts and technical drawings for commercial workspaces
- Prepare FFE selections and schedules aligned with project briefs
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders for design coordination
- Apply design revisions in a timely, accurate, and proactive manner
- Support the preparation of CDC-compliant documentation under the direction and guidance of an experienced Design Manager
Key Requirements
Role Requirements:
- Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design, Drafting, or similar
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Drafting and/ or Interior Design
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
- Strong documentation and detailing skills essential
- Experience in medical and/or commercial fit-outs highly regarded but not a must have
- Excellent spatial awareness and design communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
