Join the talented team at Rugs Carpet & Design as an Interior Specification Consultant (Flooring). This full-time role in our Surry Hills (NSW) office will see you working closely with interior designers, architects and property developers to specify the perfect flooring solutions for their projects. If you have a passion for interiors and exceptional customer service, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What you'll be doing
- Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on the latest flooring trends, materials and installation methods
- Assisting with the selection and specification of carpets & rugs to meet the unique needs of each project
- Preparing detailed proposals, quotes and technical specifications for clients
- Liaising with designers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and installation of flooring products
- Monitor and understand current design & colour trends within the market
- Maintaining detailed records and project files
- Contributing to the development of new product ranges and interior design solutions
Key Requirements
What we're looking for
- Several years' experience in a similar interior design, specification or sales consultant role
- Excellent product knowledge across a wide range of flooring materials and applications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build long-term relationships with clients
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using CRM (Zoho is an advantage)
- A tertiary qualification in interior design, architecture or a related field is highly regarded
- Driver's license
