Description

The role is based in our showroom and is a mix of administration and sales.  You will tackle the day to day within the showroom as well as work in co-ordination with the Directors of the business to achieve business goals.

JOB TYPE: Casual, Maternity Leave Cover, 3-8 months, 18 – 21 hours p/w inclusive of Saturdays

DAYS:

Weds/Fri/Sat

KEY TASKS:

  • Maintain the showroom – layout, cleanliness, plants
  • Answer phones, take messages, screen calls
  • Manage email inboxes – personal and generic
  • Duties as required by Directors
  • Calendar management
  • Manage deliveries
  • Client sales – quoting, invoicing, processing payments
  • Maintain jobs list
  • Preparing jobs for the factory
  • Facilitate communication with our Interior Designers and Architects
  • Facilitate communications with our Wholesale Accounts
  • Showroom sales

Key Requirements

 

  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Organised and able to meet deadlines
  • Quick to learn
  • Sales skills are a bonus
  • Ability to work within an Accounting system for quotes, invoicing and processing payments
  • A design student or graduate looking to gain industry experience

 

YOU ARE:

  • Available to cover days outlined (hours can vary)
  • Interested in furniture and wanting to build your knowledge in this space
  • Organised and a multi tasker
  • Willing to learn
  • A great verbal and written communicator
  • Confident in discussing products and materials with clients
  • Able to determine clients needs and identify the right products and materials
  • Eager to use your interior design skills and experience to enhance our customers experience

 

EXPERIENCE + QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently studying or completed studies in Interiors/Furniture Design
  • Experience in Retail or B2B sales is valuable but not imperative
  • Must be confident using phones and computers
  • Administration

NON-NEGOTIABLES:

  • Love for interiors
  • Love for dogs – we have two factory pups
  • Live on the Northern Beaches – we are looking for a local
  • Wanting to learn and gain some industry experience

$25p/h + Super
