As a Retail Sales & Design Consultant you will be responsible for delivering a design led sales experience in our Sydney showroom and via online design appointments, empowering customers to make confident renovation choices.
You’ll have the opportunity to help customers bring their renovation vision to life, develop your sales and design skills, and contribute to improving our showroom and design service experience. If you’re customer obsessed, have a passion for interior design, are a confident communicator, and strong on detail and follow through, this role is for you!
This is a casual position 1-3 days per week with Saturday availability essential.
Responsibilities
- Host showroom customers by delivering a warm, engaging, design-led experience that makes customers feel seen, heard, and supported.
- Guide customers to the right selections by understanding their project goals and constraints, and helping them choose tiles, tapware, door hardware, lighting and accessories to bring their dream outcome to life.
- Convert customer interest into sales by creating accurate quotes from plans, following up opportunities, taking payments, and nurturing leads through to “closed won.”
- Execute engaging design appointments both in person and online, create design briefs and product plans, and nurture opportunities via structured follow ups.
- Maintain a high-performing showroom environment by creating visual merchandising displays, keeping the space clean and organised, restocking samples, and ensuring products are labelled and priced correctly.
- Deliver strong post-sale service by partnering with internal teams to ensure smooth warehouse pickups and deliveries, manage returns, and resolve customer issues quickly.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying ways to improve customer experience and sales effectiveness across channels, supporting process improvements, and contributing to ad hoc tasks and projects as required.
- Embrace and experiment with AI tools and new technologies to improve the customer experience and team efficiency. Use AI tools to support design inspiration, product recommendations, faster quoting and follow-up, and smoother internal workflows, and share feedback to help refine and scale what works.

About You
- A background in sales and qualifications in interior design are a plus.
- Knowledge of tiles, tapware or lighting products is advantageous, but not required.
- Strong communication, relationship-building skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Positive energy, enthusiastic, and genuinely enjoys helping customers feel confident in design decisions.
- Confident in navigating multiple systems and processes including CRM, POS, helpdesk, and Google Workspace, and curious about using AI to support workflows.
- Thrives in fast-paced environments, excited by growth and change, receives coaching and feedback with curiosity and respect.
- Must be available to work Saturdays.
