Unitex is a family-owned company and Australia's leading wholesaler of rugs. We have an exciting opportunity for a Showroom Sales & Events Coordinator to join our beautiful showroom in Alexandria.
This role will suit a self-driven, proactive individual with a passion for interiors, sales, and customer engagement. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, building relationships with trade clients, and helping drive B2B sales through our showroom.
You will also play a key role in creating an inspiring showroom environment and coordinating events that bring our collections to life.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for showroom visitors, delivering a warm, professional and engaging customer experience
- Engage with customers in the showroom, understanding their needs and providing product guidance
- Take ownership of the showroom presentation, including layout, visual merchandising, and display of new collections
- Ensure samples and showroom materials are organised, well presented, and up to date
- Build relationships with trade clients through warm and cold outreach, including follow-up with showroom visitors
- Manage and maintain the showroom trade customer database, ensuring accurate records for new and existing clients
- Plan and coordinate showroom events to help launch new collections and drive engagement with our trade community
- Help drive traffic and awareness for the showroom through events, outreach, and marketing initiatives
- Assist in developing the showroom’s social media presence, including creating and posting content on social media
- Maintain a clean, organised and visually inspiring showroom environment
- Collaborate with the broader sales and marketing team to support promotions, launches and showroom initiatives
Key Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing sales or retail role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships
- A genuine passion for interior design and home décor trends
- Strong customer focus and commercial awareness
- Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets through consultative selling
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks and events
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence engaging with interior designers, retailers and trade clients
