An award winning Residential design firm based in Sydney. We are seeking a strong junior- to mid level interior designer to join our small team and assist us to deliver a number of different projects from design to construction. The successful designer will have solid ArchiCAD proficiency and a strong portfolio of documentation work that demonstrates their knowledge of interior spaces. You will be someone with excellent joinery documentation and detailing knowledge.
NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT APPLY, IF YOUR DO NOT USE ARCHICAD. YOU MUST HAVE MINIMUM 2 YEARS FULL TIME LOCAL EXPERIENCE IN NSW RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGN ROLE. 6 MONTH CONTRACT WITH OPPORTUNITY TO BE PERMANENT FULL TIME
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Undertake design projects from initial brief, concept design, presentation to documentation and completion.
- Developing designs according to a brief that are functional, appealing, and appropriate for the space.
- Prepare all design submissions and documentation, coordinating with the director and other staff.
- Provide custom design solutions to suit our client's strategic objectives.
- Deliver Interior design packages including material selection, finishes and joinery details.
- Using ARCHICAD to create floor plans, 3D models, visuals, and presentation submissions
- Create Indesign presentations for upcoming projects, concept mood boards, design presentations and layouts.
- Creating procurement /Finishes schedules for interior projects
Key Requirements
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you have/are:
- Tertiary qualifications in Interior Design or Interior Architecture are essential
- Operating at a level equivalent to 2 years professional experience.
- Experience in all aspects of the residential project – concept design / design documentation / Finishes schedule/on-site collaboration with trades and builder.
- A high level of technical Proficiency in ARCHICAD IS MUST
- Proficiency in Google Sketchup , D5 renders or Enscape is preferred.
- You demonstrate a portfolio showcasing experience working as an interior designer, preferably within the residential sector.
Job Types: Casual, Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 25 per week
