Platform Interiors is a Sydney-based showroom representing a curated collection of architectural hardware, lighting, ceramic basins and design-led interior products. Our offering brings together craftsmanship, materiality and considered design through brands including Platform Architectural Detail and Robert Gordon Interiors, supporting both residential and commercial projects.
We are seeking a confident, well-connected and commercially astute Sales Representative to join our team in a casual, field-based capacity. This is a relationship-led, specification-focused role working closely with architects, interior designers, builders and developers across Sydney.
About the Role
This role centres on building long-term relationships within the architecture and design community, positioning Platform Interiors as a trusted resource and securing product specification across a range of projects.
You will take ownership of a defined territory, introducing our collections to new clients, nurturing existing relationships and driving opportunities from early concept stages through to project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel throughout Sydney to meet with architects, interior designers, builders and developers
- Present and promote Platform Interiors’ collections in a considered, design-led manner
- Drive specification sales by ensuring products are considered and selected early in the design process
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships within the architecture and design community
- Identify and convert new business opportunities across residential and commercial projects
- Introduce new collections, finishes and samples to clients in a compelling and professional way
- Prepare and manage quotes, pricing and proposals
- Track projects from concept through to construction and completion
- Maintain a structured sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Coordinate showroom visits, presentations and product sessions
- Represent Platform Interiors with professionalism and strong brand alignment
Key Requirements
About You
- Proven experience in interiors, architectural or specification sales
- Strong understanding of the architecture, interiors and building market
- Experience influencing specification decisions early in the design process
- An established network within Sydney’s architecture and design community is highly regarded
- Commercially minded, with strong negotiation and relationship-management skills
- Confident presenting products and ideas to design professionals
- Ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications
- Highly organised, self-motivated and proactive
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for design
- Professional presentation aligned with a premium brand
- Current Australian driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Role Details
Location: Field-based throughout Sydney, with showroom support from Crows Nest
Schedule: Casual, 2–3 days per week
Start date: Immediate start available
