Description
Are you a high-energy salesperson who lives for the thrill of picking up the phone and making things happen? We’re on the lookout for someone who’s not afraid to hustle, ask smart questions, and dive into conversations that convert.
THE COMPANY
Since 1980, Materialised has been at the forefront of designing and supplying innovative, high-performance furnishing materials for the healthcare, hospitality, education, and commercial sectors - where aesthetics and durability are equally important.
Our suite of products includes high-performance textiles, commercial wall covering and acoustic solutions. Warehousing and state-of-the-art printing operations are based in Sydney, supported by Design Studios across Australia and New Zealand.
THE ROLE
This is a fast-paced, hands-on sales role for someone who’s not afraid to get on the phone, organise meetings/presentations, and uncover new opportunities. You’ll nurture existing relationships while driving new business with energy, curiosity, and strategic focus.
You will already be immersed in the textile and wall covering industry and have an understanding of colour and design. You’ll be well connected, with existing relationships and a good understanding of how the specification process works.
You'll mostly be working from our Design Studio in Alexandria in between client meetings, with regular trips to Head Office in Blakehurst.
Some travel is required to ACT for client presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Relationships: Engage architects, designers, contractors, and end-users to understand their needs and deliver tailored product solutions.
- Conduct Effective Presentations: Lead face-to-face meetings, deliver compelling presentations, and ask insightful questions to build trust and secure business.
- Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calls, warm calls, and effectively use lead-gen tools such as BCI.
- Maintain Organised Sales Pipeline: Manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritise under pressure, and ensure the sales pipeline is consistently up to date.
- Strategically Manage Client Database: Utilise the CRM to identify opportunities, develop strategies, and drive product placement in the market.
- Monitor Industry Trends: Stay informed about developments in the industry, evolving client needs, and emerging market opportunities.
- Product Knowledge: Quickly learn and absorb knowledge across multiple new product lines.
- Solve Problems Proactively: Address challenges with initiative, turning obstacles into opportunities and leading efforts to find effective solutions.
- Project Management: Stay on top of the project management, manage the stock/reserves to make sure we have it in for the project and keep the product in spec.
- Collaborate: Work closely with our design and product development teams to ensure our offerings meet and exceed client expectations.
