Position Overview: We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential design, with a strong ability to develop functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces for our clients. You will collaborate closely with architects, construction teams, and project managers to ensure seamless integration of design concepts, compliance with industry standards, and timely project delivery. A keen eye for modern trends, material selection, and space optimization will be essential in delivering high-quality home designs that meet both local and overseas client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects.
- Produce detailed DA, CC, and CDC documentation using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.
- Conduct client consultations to understand cultural preferences and deliver tailored design solutions.
- Manage material selection, vendor coordination, and project timelines.
- Create mood boards, 3D visualizations, and hand sketches to articulate design ideas.
- Ensure compliance with Australian building codes and regulations.
Key Requirements
Essential Requirements
1. Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
2. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
- Certifications in AutoCAD, Rhino, Lumion, or similar software.
3. Experience:
- Minimum 1 years in interior design, including DA/CC/CDC documentation.
- Proven track record in client-facing roles, particularly with Chinese clientele.
4. Skills:
- Expertise in space planning, material selection, and vendor management.
- Strong graphic expression and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of Australian design regulations and standards.
