Description

PSEC Project Services is an established architectural and property development consulting firm based in Sydney. Since 2006, we have delivered a diverse portfolio of projects, ranging from bespoke single-family homes to large-scale residential complexes, commercial buildings, civic structures, and international masterplans.

Our leadership team brings over 40 years of combined experience across residential development, project management, and the technical and legal dimensions of procurement. Our philosophy is grounded in delivering strategic, site-responsive solutions that maximise project potential while navigating regulatory and market constraints.

The Role:

As an Interior Designer at PSEC, you will work closely with our architectural and project management teams to design and deliver high-quality interior environments for both residential and commercial developments. You will be involved throughout all project stages, from concept to completion.

Engage with clients and project stakeholders to understand the purpose, scope, and limitations of each interior design and architectural brief

Investigate and evaluate spatial layouts, functionality, safety standards, workflow efficiencies, building orientation, and visual impact to inform both architectural planning and interior design direction

Develop and refine creative design concepts that integrate architectural vision with interior functionality, reflecting project goals and client aspirations

Produce clear and compelling visual documentation, including hand sketches, diagrams, digital layouts, site plans, and architectural drawings to effectively communicate ideas across disciplines

Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, authorities, and construction professionals to align design solutions with regulatory requirements, site constraints, and budget expectations

Curate and recommend materials, finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and architectural elements that meet both structural and aesthetic goals, considering environmental performance, durability, and design cohesion

Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including DA/CDC submissions, construction drawings, joinery details, material specifications, and finishes schedules in line with building codes and industry standards

Assist in the coordination of consultant inputs such as structural, civil, and services engineering to ensure seamless integration of architectural and interior solutions

Participate in contract administration, tender processes, and construction documentation reviews to maintain design integrity through to project completion

Oversee and coordinate the construction and interior fit-out process, attending site inspections to ensure accurate execution of architectural intent and interior detail, resolving any site-related issues as they arise
