Description

MARBLE HUB GROUP is a Sydney-based specialist in the premium stone and joinery sector, focused on the supply, fabrication, and installation of high-quality stone benchtops using natural materials like marble, quartzite, and granite, alongside engineered stones, porcelain slabs, and custom wooden cabinetry for kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior spaces.

Operating from its integrated factory at 123 Cosgrove Rd, Strathfield South NSW 2136, the company provides a comprehensive end-to-end service that includes complimentary design consultations with 2D and 3D renderings, precise on-site measurements, guided stone selection from an extensive slab gallery, in-house cutting, polishing, and edging, and expert installation incorporating elements such as sinks, appliances, and joinery. Committed to direct factory pricing for affordability, sustainable practices through offcuts, end-of-batch sales, and slabs in transit, MARBLE HUB GROUP emphasises skilled craftsmanship and client-focused efficiency in a practical, operational environment that supports hands-on collaboration and weekend accessibility for consultations.

About the Position:

As an Interior Designer at MARBLE HUB GROUP, you will play a pivotal role in conceptualising and delivering bespoke interior solutions that integrate premium stone benchtops, custom cabinetry, and complementary elements to enhance client spaces. This position encompasses the full design lifecycle—from initial consultations and mood boarding to detailed drafting and on-site supervision—ensuring seamless alignment with the company's integrated fabrication process. Your expertise will directly contribute to elevating the hub's reputation for personalised, high-end renovations, driving client satisfaction and business growth in Sydney's competitive home improvement market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the spatial planning and layout development for both residential and commercial interior projects, interpreting client briefs and functional requirements to design efficient and visually cohesive environments, including integrating custom marble elements to enhance both form and function.
  • Work closely with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to define design direction, taking into account style preferences, project scope, budget, and timelines; provide ongoing design input throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment with evolving client expectations.
  • Source and specify materials, finishes, and furnishings, with a specialised focus on selecting appropriate types of marble and natural stone for various applications such as flooring, wall cladding, and benchtops; ensure selected materials meet durability, maintenance, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive design documentation, including mood boards, 2D layouts, and annotated technical drawings to communicate spatial arrangements, material palettes, and detailed joinery and stonework features.
  • Use industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite) to produce floorplans, elevations, and visual presentations; develop client-facing visual proposals to support design decisions and facilitate approvals.
  • Liaise with suppliers, fabricators, and contractors to ensure accurate interpretation and installation of design elements, particularly marble features; coordinate delivery timelines and site access to support smooth execution.
  • Conduct site inspections during the fit-out phase, identifying any deviations from the approved design and working with contractors to resolve on-site issues; maintain a focus on both aesthetic outcome and practical installation standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian building standards and regulations, especially concerning material safety, durability, and environmental considerations in the use of marble and other finishes.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, balancing creative design development with practical delivery, while maintaining strong communication with clients and trades to meet project milestones.
