Infocus Design has been dedicated to excellence in design and manufacturing for over 30 years. We are a strong, focused, professional team that makes amazing things happen for our clients. We design and manufacture award-winning retail fit-outs, commercial interiors, product displays, corporate events, and exhibitions around Australia and internationally. We are currently seeking an energetic, self-motivated Interior Designer to join our team.

We have an opportunity for a talented, creative, and practical Interior Designer with a can-do attitude seeking a challenging, fast-paced role. This position requires you to take designs from brief to concept and final design presentation, producing high-quality 3D visualisations and comprehensive, detailed construction drawings.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of design experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking a design from brief to presentation, meeting all brief requirements with a high level of creativity, on time, and within budget
  • Producing detailed, high-quality, targeted presentations with renderings, material selection, design justification, and sample boards
  • Work on projects both independently and collaboratively, understanding client briefs
  • Managing each project efficiently by liaising with clients and suppliers when necessary
  • Producing clear, accurate, and concise technical and construction drawings
  • Experience in retail fitout design, commercial interiors, product displays, exhibition design, and client presentations is essential.

Key Requirements

Technical skills required:

  • Sound knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Ability to effectively communicate ideas with visualisations, accurate technical drawings, and photo-realistic 3D renderings
  • Essential design software skills include proficiency in SketchUp Pro, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • A qualification in Interior Design or a related discipline is required for this position
