Purpose of Role:

The Design Consultant at Poliform, creates unforgettable experiences by utilising design expertise and sales skills to help clients transform their spaces. Focused on personalised consultations, you’ll exceed sales targets through creative strategies while collaborating with teams to ensure exceptional service. With your passion for design and high-end furniture, you'll grow professionally in a supportive, dynamic environment, gaining valuable experience in an industry poised for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Lead Conversion: Exceed monthly sales targets by implementing personalised sales strategies, following up promptly with clients, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Service Delivery & Client Communication: Ensure a seamless service experience by managing client expectations, promptly addressing order updates or delays, and maintaining clear communication throughout the sales and delivery process.
  • Administration & Reporting: Maintain full accountability for your sales process by accurately managing sales order information, adhering to payment terms, and ensuring proper documentation, including drawings, floor plans, and signed confirmations.
  • Business Development: Proactively generate new business leads, build a strong sales pipeline, and expand market reach by maintaining and growing a client base within the retail and trade sectors, particularly in Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain long-term client relationships by managing all stages of projects, from initial consultations to post-sale follow-up, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Showroom Activities & Product Knowledge: Assist with showroom activities, maintain product knowledge, stay informed on market trends, and support team training efforts to enhance overall customer experience and sales performance.

Key Requirements

About you:

  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets with a strong ability to develop and implement personalised sales strategies.
  • 3+ years’ sales experience in high-end furniture, with a focus on kitchen and joinery sales.
  • Passionate about design and furniture, with a deep understanding of the high-end furniture market, delivering seamless service from consultation to post-sale follow-up.
  • Ideally you have a tertiary qualification in Interior Design to complement design expertise and offer valuable insights to clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of the high-end furniture market, delivering seamless service from consultation to post-sale follow-up.
  • Proactive in business development, generating new leads and expanding market reach within retail and trade sectors.
  • Highly organised, driven, and committed to ongoing product knowledge growth and industry expertise.
