Description

Are you passionate about design, highly organised, and enjoy working in a tight knit team?

Roth Architects is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our boutique Architecture firm based in Sydney. We craft spaces in Architecture, Landscape and Interiors.

Working directly with Principal Alex Roth and alongside designers in a creative team, you'll play an important role in the day-to-day running of the practice, providing essential administrative support and ensuring the studio runs smoothly and efficiently

Why Join Roth Architects?

While the role is primarily administrative, it offers a unique opportunity to gain insight, experience and learn the essential skills used in an award winning architectural practice. The successful applicant will learn the working of the design process from end to end, with potential to progress into a design role, for the right person. You will be working in a varied role where you can take initiative, contribute ideas and make a meaningful impact.

The Role

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering incoming phone calls and assisting with general enquiries in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Exploring new technologies and tools, including AI, to support the way the studio works.
  • Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the studio and its operations.
  • Providing general administrative and organisational support.
  • Assisting with coordination and helping keep tasks, priorities and deadlines on track.
  • Contributing to the studio's marketing, communications and online presence.
  • Helping to maintain organised office systems, records and documentation.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline everyday processes.

Key Requirements

About You

We are looking for someone who is proactive, reliable and takes pride in keeping things organised. You'll enjoy working with people, managing a variety of tasks and being part of a collaborative, creative environment.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous experience in administration or a similar role.
  • A genuine interest in architecture, interiors, landscape and design.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence answering phone calls and interacting professionally with others.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A positive, adaptable attitude and a willingness to learn
  • A high level of initiative, reliability and professionalism.
  • An interest in technology and emerging AI tools, with the confidence to explore new ways of working.

If you're organised, enthusiastic and excited by the opportunity to be part of a creative architecture studio, we'd love to hear from you.
