The Commercial Sales Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic business development, relationship management, and exceptional client service. This role focuses on promoting the Space and Poliform commercial brands, developing new business opportunities, nurturing key industry relationships, and managing projects from initial enquiry through to successful delivery. Success in the role requires strong commercial acumen, industry engagement, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding client experience.
What will I do on a day-to-day basis?
- Achieve Sales Performance Targets: Exceed monthly sales targets through proactive business development, pipeline management, and conversion of commercial project opportunities.
- Develop and Manage Client Relationships: Build, maintain, and grow relationships with architects, designers, developers, and commercial clients to generate repeat business and referrals.
- Drive Business Development and Industry Engagement: Identify new project opportunities, expand industry networks, and actively promote the commercial showroom as a resource for the A&D community.
- Deliver Exceptional Client Service: Manage the end-to-end sales process, ensuring clients receive timely communication, accurate project support, and seamless delivery outcomes.
- Maintain Sales Administration and Reporting: Accurately manage quotations, sales orders, CRM records, tenders, and sales reporting to ensure visibility and accountability across the sales pipeline.
- Represent the Brand and Commercial Offering: Promote Space, Poliform, and the broader commercial collection through client presentations, educational events, showroom activations, and industry functions.
Key Requirements
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- Proven Commercial Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets in a commercial, design, furniture, interiors, or related B2B environment.
- Strong Relationship-Building Skills: The ability to establish trusted partnerships with clients, architects, designers, contractors, and industry stakeholders.
- Business Development Mindset: A proactive approach to generating leads, identifying new opportunities, and building a sustainable sales pipeline.
- Project and Client Management Capability: Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple projects while maintaining exceptional customer service levels.
- Commercial and Technical Understanding: Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and tender documentation, and translate client requirements into commercial solutions.
- Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, combined with high attention to detail and effective use of CRM and reporting systems.
