Located in the leafy surrounds of Queen Street, Woollahra, THE CLASSIC OUTFITTER is a boutique Interior Design Studio specialising in timeless residential interiors, grounded in classic design principles, alongside a curated custom product offering being expanded through the studio's evolving website and digital platform.
As the studio continues to evolve, we are seeking a proactive, highly organised and solutions focused Studio Operations Manager to support the operational function of the business across workflow, project co-ordination, logistics, administration and systems implementation, working closely across the team and the evolving needs of the studio.
This is a multi faceted role suited to someone who enjoys variety, structure and operational problem solving within a fast moving creative business environment.
The role requires someone who can move fluidly between strategic thinking and practical execution. Someone equally comfortable managing workflows, refining systems and operational processes, coordinating deliveries and supplier and client communication, updating project information, maintaining website product information, and helping ensure the day-to-day running of the studio operates smoothly and professionally.
As part of the studio's ongoing operational evolution, THE CLASSIC OUTFITTER is implementing a new operating framework to improve clarity, accountability, communication and workflow management across the business. The successful applicant will be involved in this process over time as part of broader operational and systems development within the studio.
THE ROLE
The Studio Operations Manager will play a key role in the day-to-day operational running of the business across:
- Workflow and project co-ordination
- Procurement and logistics management
- Studio administration and systems management
- Supplier, client and trade communication
- Documentation and operational processes
- Product offering and website management
- Internal workflow accountability and organisation
Responsibilities will range from managing deliveries, supplier communication and workflow priorities, through to maintaining systems, refining operational processes, updating project information and ensuring the smooth day-to-day coordination of multiple moving projects and responsibilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Studio Operations & Workflow Management
- Manage the day-to-day administrative function of the Studio
- Maintain and refine studio systems, workflows and operational procedures
- Co-ordinate workflow meetings, task tracking and project status updates
- Maintain organised digital filing systems, templates and operational documentation
- Ensure project information, workflow updates and internal records remain accurate and current
- Support operational planning for quarterly review processes
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiency, communication and workflow management
- Communicate effectively with the team regarding project progress, priorities and operational updates
Client Project, Procurement & Logistics
- Manage procurement administration including supplier liaison, quoting, purchase orders and order tracking
- Co-ordinate product ordering processes and delivery logistics
- Monitor order statuses, lead times and delivery schedules to ensure accurate communication across the team
- Maintain accurate operational systems and order information
- Co-ordinate freight, warehousing, consolidation and installation logistics where required
- Assist in sourcing samples and arranging supplier showroom visits
- Liaise with suppliers, trades, couriers and consultants to support smooth project delivery
- Support project co-ordination and operational document control
Product Offering & Website Support
- Maintain organisation and accuracy across TCO's custom product offering and supporting information
- Manage website product updates, imagery and product information uploads
- Maintain consistency and organisation across product documentation and digital presentation
- Assist in coordinating product-related content and supporting marketing materials
- Maintain organisation of showroom samples, supplier materials and product resources
- Contribute to ongoing refinement of product-related operational systems and processes

Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in administration, operations, project support or workflow management.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping a business operate well. Someone who takes satisfaction in organisation, follow-through, communication and keeping operational moving parts running smoothly behind the scenes.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
Preferred experience may include:
- Administration, studio operations or workflow management
- Project support or project co-ordination
- Procurement, logistics or supplier liaison
- Small business or fast-moving service-based environments
- Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and digital platforms
- POS, operational or accounting systems
- Website content management and product administration
Experience within the interior design, architecture, construction or creative industries is advantageous, though not essential.
Strong technical capability and confidence learning new software systems is important.
