Description
We are seeking a qualified Interior Designer (early-career) who is comfortable supporting real client work, contributing design input, and being involved hands-on in project delivery and installation.
You will work alongside senior team members on active projects, supporting client-facing design discussions and execution.
You will not be expected to know everything on day one — clear systems, support, and expectations are provided, with responsibility increasing as confidence and capability grow.
This role is open to Australian citizens or permanent residents only.
The role
You will be involved in:
- Joining client consultations where design input and credibility are required
- Supporting design selections and explaining rationale
- Preparing design concepts, selections and mood boards
- Allocating and tracking stock, assisting with job preparation
- Attending installations and site visits
- Supporting delivery readiness and execution
Key Requirements
What we're looking for
- Degree or Diploma qualified in Interior Design
- 1–3 years’ experience in interiors, furniture, retail or property-related roles
- Comfortable explaining and standing behind design decisions with clients
- Strong eye for selections, finishes and spatial flow
- Organised, reliable and detail-oriented
- Willing to be hands-on beyond the desk
- Driver’s licence essential (travel required).
This role tends to suit designers with experience in:
- Furniture retail or showrooms
- Residential interiors or property related roles
- Visual merchandising in furniture or homewares
- Colour consulting or paint specification
- Environments where decisions have real delivery consequences
