Description

Small but dynamic design and fitout company invites a highly motivated, organised and creative individual to provide admin coordination support to our busy design and fitout team.

This position offers a great opportunity to use your initiative and add value to the team by assisting with the coordination of design and fitout projects. This is a varied role which combines support across all stages of projects from supporting the design process, assisting with FF&E and liaising with contractors, trades and suppliers to assist with successful project delivery. Experience working in a similar role in the interior design and construction industry will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • assist the Senior Design Team with the preparation of submission documents to Council and other Authorities as instructed
  • liaise with tenancy coordinators, store centre management and security to facilitate site access, deliveries and the smooth running of projects
  • assist Project Team with coordinating and scheduling of trades and suppliers
  • assist with FF&E schedules, material palettes and sample boards
  • liaise with suppliers, showrooms and trade partners
  • order materials and supplies and monitoring delivery status
  • assist with sourcing and procuring of furniture, equipment, lighting and other décor items based on the brief provided and aligned with the design vision
  • organise transport of fit outs, furniture and equipment
  • support in maintaining and curating the material and supplier library
  • other admin and coordination tasks as instructed

Key Requirements

Requirements:

  • background or qualifications in interior design essential
  • minimum 1-2 years experience in interior design industry
  • previous experience with FF&E schedules
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • confidence in communicating with both creative and trade teams
  • strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • positive, can-do attitude and the willingness to learn new skills
  • Australian Drivers License and own car required

This is a full time position and is based in Marrickville, close to Sydenham station.
