The Position
We are looking for a talented Interior Designer to join our DEM design team.
DEM is a multi-disciplinary practice bringing the opportunity to collaborate across a range of interiors, architectural, landscape and urban design projects.
This is an excellent career opportunity for someone who has a willingness to learn and show initiative. The successful candidate will be a self-starter and team player, who enjoys a diversity of project work and close interaction and collaboration with our other design disciplines.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will play an integral role in shaping refined, considered interiors—working in close collaboration with the design director, senior leaders and designers to deliver exceptional design outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating on interior design projects from initial concept through to construction, ensuring a seamless and highly resolved delivery at every stage.
- Guiding client engagement with confidence and clarity—translating vision into return briefs, bespoke concept designs, considered spatial planning, and curated material palettes.
- Producing detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules that reflect both precision and design intent.
- Maintaining an informed understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices, supporting ongoing professional development.
- Working closely with the wider design team to ensure concepts are accurately developed and consistently realised throughout documentation and delivery.
- Coordinating with consultants and external stakeholders to achieve a cohesive and fully integrated design outcome.
- Upholding DEM’s commitment to excellence through rigorous quality assurance across all phases of design and construction.

· A solid understanding of the full project lifecycle—from initial concept through to documentation and construction delivery.
· Good organisational and time management abilities, with the confidence to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
