Harry the Hirer is Australia's largest and most recognised events and exhibitions hire company. For over 45 years we've brought the country's biggest events to life with best-in-market, design-led marquees, structures and furniture. Now we're looking for a creative eye to help shape how it all comes together.
The Opportunity
The Event Creative is the design conduit between our clients and Harry the Hirer — the conceptual driver who turns a brief into a look, a feel and an experience. Working alongside our Sales and Business Development teams, you'll deliver event styling solutions from first concept right through to execution, across everything from intimate private events to Australia's biggest occasions.
You'll also be part of the creative force behind our brand-new Rosehill showroom, keeping it fresh, on-trend and a true showcase of what we do best.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing design concepts, moodboards and presentation documents in response to client briefs
- Partnering with Sales and Account Managers to style events and brand activations using our product
- Designing, producing and maintaining the look and feel of our state-of-the-art showroom
- Keeping a finger on the pulse of trends in events, interiors, architecture, colour and product design
- Contributing to product sourcing, forecasting and procurement alongside Operations and the Creative Director
- Capturing behind-the-scenes and event content, and building product lookbooks for marketing
- Nurturing client relationships and managing creative requests across the business
Key Requirements
About You
- A degree in Visual Merchandising, Interior Design or a design equivalent
- 2+ years' industry experience (event experience an advantage)
- Proficient across Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and social/file management tools
- Creative, energetic and genuinely passionate about design, trends and forecasting
- A confident communicator who can present ideas and manage clients at every level
- Calm under pressure, highly organised, with an eagle eye for detail
- A team player who works just as well autonomously
- Broad and versatile Design experience
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, 3D Modelling, AI visual tools and web based publishing formats
